I went to Canada with Globespan a few years ago. Cheap and cheerful.

Globespan, Canadian Affair, both much the same thing. You fly on a MyTravel charter. We found the cabin staff very helpful, but the airline itself was dreadful. We fly to canada every year to visit my inlaws. Air Transat and Zoom were only marginally more expensive than MyTravel, but have much to recommend them. Flown by both those. Best cheap flights we had, of course were with Canada 3000. However they went belly up some years ago. Shame. We usually fly into Edmonton, Alberta. Not so much choice there, but there are lots of good cheap deals for Toronto, so shop around.

Don't forget to take Nationwide Debit card with you for commission free dollars with a great exchange rate. Works fine in most cash machines there as well as in shops, since it's Visa, so save you having to guess how much currency you are going to need.

If you stay in Niagara I recommend http://niagaratower.com/ great views if you pick a falls view - check it out on tripadvisor.co.uk.

I took the niagara airbus from toronto to niagara - Had problems though because they forgot to pick us up but got the full cost refunded.

Niagara is commercialised but I really enjoyed it.
We spent 2 weeks in the Rockies & 1 week on the east side. - the Rockies was absolutely awesome!!!

Toronto deffinate do the CN tower it has a revolving restaurant and a glass floor right at the top.

Niagara is a great place its just the town that is comerciallised but it actually quite fun its like a clean safe blackpool without the idiots and instead of the idiots they have one of the natural wonders of the world :)

There is plenty to do there. You can get a six ride pass ticket getting you on the maid of the mist, cable car, under the falls, etc etc its cheaper

  • We have just booked flights with Flyglobespan to Toronto out of Exeter for the August school holiday period for £358 per person on their premium economy service. Quite pleased with that price during the school hols & from a local airport. The airport they use for Toronto is just outside in Hamilton & not the main Toronto International so you would be closer to Niagra.

We were watching the price for a few days with Flyglobespan & were suprised how much they vary day to day eg */- £50 & when we booked the premium seats were cheaper than the economy seats by £26 each

    Hope this helps, cheers Madcow

Don't forget this quaint little town / village - a few miles up from the falls and much less commercialised. Well worth taking a look at while you are out of Toronto visiting the falls
