Powergen - recurring visa transaction
Options
Hi - hoping someone can shed some light on this for me...
We got out gas and electricity bill a week ago - it said our account was in debit, so I called up and paid the amount straight away and I've just noticed on my statement that the transaction is detailed as 'Powergen Retail Nottingham - Recurring Visa Transaction'. As far as I am concerned, this was a one-off payment to balance the account (we've always been in credit until this), but the word 'recurring' has given me the eeby geebies...I haven't my account details on me at the mo to query this with Powergen, but wondered if anyone could shed some light on this?
Powergen have very kindly upped our direct debit (how thoughtful  ) to reflect the increased usage over Christmas (we were only over by £40), and I'm hoping the wording on my account is an error.
Thanks,
FTB83

Powergen can't do recurring transactions on credit / debit cards.
Is your bank nationwide by any chance?0 -

You can give a recurring Visa credit card authority to any company. This is normally used for companies like Sky who will allow you to pay by credit card.0 -
You can do - But powergen don't have that facility.0
