The lock on the fuel door of my girlfriends Ford Fusion has broken. Can anyone advise if you can replace yourself and how much should a new lock cost. As a 53 plate don't want to take it to a dealer if possible.
Many thanks

You can replace them yourself - you'll need to take out the liner in the boot. Cost? No idea - get a quote from the main dealer then ring a breakers yard.
Even a main dealer is only going to charge half an hours labour to fit - £30 or so. Ford dealers aren't that expensive.0 -
The lock should be held in with just a clip. A dealer will be able to supply the lock to match the car key. Scrappys tend to charge quite a bit for the key as they want to sell a set of locks complete.0
