Hi I was issued a parking notice from exel they state we parked without displaying a valid ticket we did not purchase a valid pay and display ticket.
I emailed them back stating I am appealing against this fine due to the fact that I did purchase a valid ticket on that date and was clearly displayed inside the windscreen of my car. I appeal that you should check your pay and display data (electronic record in machine) and you will find that I paid the £3 which is required for all day Sunday parking. I hope that this is a satisfactory explanation and you are able to match a payment with the time and vehicle registration number.
They sent a letter that we contravened terms and conditions of the car park by not purchasing a valid pay and display ticket, they say they re checked their P&D data and can confirm that no ticket was purchased displaying the above vehicle registration number. There are signs on the pay and display machines which state that the vehicles full registration number must be entered into the keypad of the machine to purchase a valid ticket.
Are they saying that maybe the incorrect reg number was entered, although i haven’t kept the ticket, we did for a fact pay the £3 required for all day parking on a Sunday
Should we pay or ignore the further letters
Hope someone can help

You have more chance of winning the lottery than winning an appeal. From now on just ignore them and their following 5-7 letters. It would have been 3-5 letters but as you appealed you will get more. Very kind of them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

You've paid the £3 which was required of you, the landowner suffered no damages, ignore Excel.
Blackburn have more of a chance of winning the premiership than you have of Excel accepting the appeal or actually taking you to court.0 -
PCNs from private companies are a scam and can be safely ignored as I have several times without anything happeningStill waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Thank you all for responding, I will ignore any further letters that I receive0

In the very unlikely event you do receive proper court-papers sent from the court, don't ignore then0

you will recieve further threat o grams from roxburgh (we have no powers) debt collectors,,and then graham white (i am a fake solicitor) white,,the only difference is the red ink gets bigger,,,guess what,, no matter what they say/threaten etc etc,,,,,nothing will happen if you IGNORE,FULL STOP.0

Keep the ticket, staple it to the threatOgram and photocopy it, then file away. In the UNLIKELY event they try court as you have ignored them, it is the basis of the defence/counterclaim that will mean they will end up owing you real money, not some fabricated unlawful penalty, for an imagined breach of their T & C's they allege wrongly you have committed. Then ignore and ignore them some more.0
