HSBC on line Card

Please could someone help?
I'm having a real battle transferring a balance from my online HSBC credit card. The balance is going onto a Barclaycard.
I do meet all the criteria and there is no issue with the amount etc etc.
I have twice given the details to Barclaycard waited a month and each time the balance goes onto the card but not off the HSBC card. Barclaycard on each occasion have credited it back.
It's as if there is an issue with HSBC.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
How long should a B/T take??

    I did the same transfer moving debt from hsbc to barclays about 6months ago. It worked absolutely fine for me - I did the transfer by barclaycard online banking and it just took about 4days I think.

    Is your HSBC account still open/active (not closed to new spending?)

    Did you pass them the sort code and acc number or just the 16 digit card number?
    Card is still very much active.

    I'm so confused

    Oh no sorry - mine was a regular hsbc credit card - somehow missed that you'd mentioned it being the online one in your OP.

    I'm wondering if it's an issue particular to the online card.
    I remember a slight issue a few years ago.
    Its a normal c/card but as well as the 16 digit number theres also an acc number and sort code.
    Anyone else?
