Just got back from visiting Dad, he's in good spirits. He makes me laugh, his carer bought him an Amaryllis for Christmas and everyone who goes in there has to admire it and hear the story of how during the day it leans over one way then in the evening straightens up again. Mind you I go up there twice a week and I swear it's 2 inches taller each visit. It's really given him an interest.

Lovely day here today, cold but sunny. No heating as OH is rubbing down the radiator (he never got round to it yesterday). It's a difficult job with a bl**dy great Boxer sitting on your legs

Morning! I was up at 7.45am today.no Breakfast,no coffee as I had a blood test at 8.30am at the doctors,Dad rang to remind me and in my sleepy haze I went doctors I dont think so :rotfl: then he reminded me I had changed the time of the appointment,I went though and it soon got done,Had coffee with a friend and that was nice to start the morning,Now off for lunch with more friends,I am really busy today and then tonight its Karioke.

Had an email back about smartphone I won in October, they're sending similar model instead so happy with that. just waiting for postie to bring my handful of parcels (*she prays*) then popping to mums!:D

Good luck with the driving lesson lilrahi I took Kalms on my test as I was no good! Really helped.

Sue, sorry to sound thick but what's an amaryllis? I'm guessing it could be a plant?

I had to leave before the postie today which isnt good as means if OH doesnt hear him I will have to rearrange anything he has for me (wishful thinking )

Hi Becks, this is an amaryllis:



The flower stalks come before the leaves, so you just get one or two spikes with a bulge on the top to start with (it looks quite rude). They can grow to 2 - 3 feet tall.

That is a lovely amaryliss Sue. I quite often buy them for peeps at Xmas but no-one has ever bought me one!

Oops, sorry Becks. sheils the picture is just one I pinched from Google, hope Dad's looks as good as that.

Radiator is painted, should be able to put the heating on in a couple of hours.

Postie bought a L'Oreal mens moisturiser sample and a Danepak fridge magnet.
