How to save money on Petrol?

I've started to drive for last 3 months.

So far, I always bought petrol from a shell pump besides my house for 84-85p/L.

Is there any petro card or similar thing to save money?

Thanks a lot.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Not that I know of but it might be worth signing up to this lot. On saying that we have all been waiting over a year for it to get off the ground.

Drive better! Using higher gears, not accelerating hard then braking for a junction, etc etc

Shell have a pluspoint scheme where you get points for litres bought. You can exchange points for high street vouchers once you have 1500.

They usually have leaflets instore or google 'shell pluspoints'

If you have an Asda near you and use their credit card to buy fuel you save 2p a litre.

Shell pluspoint is not useful to me as I fill much less than 35 L/week.
