Storage heaters - change?
Folks,
I bought a house last June which has storage heaters only (downstairs only, usual scenario) and, because of this, probably saved at least £5k on the price compared with other identical properties in the street with central heating. The storage heaters are doing the job, just, but I am mindful that it is a mild winter this year (so far!)
Changing to central heating would be major as their isn't even gas in the property at the moment and putting in all the required pipework would be a major job and, I expect, costly. Anyone any idea what sort of prices for a three bed semi?
But is the potential increase in value to the house and potential cheaper costs for a warmer property a good investment?
Any thoughts greatfully received. Thanks.

From lots of posts on MSE, getting gas to your house seems to be something of a lottery as far as costs are concerned.
There are several experienced Gas Safe fitters on this section of MSE and hopefully they will come along and give their ballpark figure - if not here in a day or two, give them a PM.
I would have thought £5k would have been the sort of price????0
