they will be more than fine
it should say on the back of the pack what size drill bit youll need, its normally 1/2mm bigger than the bolt.
Its nerve racking but before you attach the tv, have a swing on it yourself, youll have a bit more faith then. Put mine up last year onto a hollow wall, still panic when i hear a creak.0 -
Out of curiousity there more than 2 holes to attach the bracket yeh?!? Ive got 4 anchor bolts about the same size as yours holding up an old 32" lcd (quite heavy)0

The bracket pack should tell you what you needThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Also, get the bracket level, with a decent spirit level rather than the built in thing the bracket may (or may not) have.
Did mine a couple of years ago, took 4 big bolts, provided with the bracket, into a brick wall. Put two in first, didn't tighten them up fully, but enough to pinch the bracket to the wall and leave a bit of movement in the bracket. Got OH to hold TV as we placed it on the bracket and made it truly level. Took TV off, marked remaining holes for drilling, removed bracket and drilled other holes. Pinched all 4 bolts up to bracket. Tried TV again to make sure it was still level, then finally tightened them up. Still there, hasn't moved a bit. Took a while, but was worth the extra effort.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. My bracket is attached with eight longish wood screws - happily supporting a 50" plasma, and the 40" lcd for three years prior to that. TBH four probably would have been enough. People always go over the top with TV brackets (after all it is supporting "my precious..."). Hell, my kitchen cabinets are hung on just two screws each and are carrying a lot more weight! The key thing is to be sure the wall behind can carry the weight - no problem if you're into brick.
I can echo that last comment on being level - first time I installed my bracket, I had one hole that had hit the edge of a brick and pulled the bracket off level when tightened up. Even though the bubble might look only slightly off centre - when you stand back with a TV attached it is very obvious. Take your time and get it right.0 -
How big is the tv. I just sued standard good quality walls plugs suitable for the wall. That said I only hung up so far on walls a 26" lcd ( its been up almost 5 years on a chimney breast) and a 32" led tv which was quite light. I did have trouble sourcing the m8 screws for tv to mount to bracket as b& my only diy shed doesn't have a huge range so had to buy online0

I use 100mm bolts.
Buy the right drill for the bolts, it'll tell you on the packet.0 -

So long as they're decent bricks, the six plugs and bolts that come with it look ok to me.
Six rawlbolts would be ok if the bricks were crumbly, or if you really wanted to make sure it would never move.0
