Sale of Goods Act - Not as described.

It may be tricky though if you have done anything in accordance with ownership of the goods - unless there are perhaps circumstances such as you beaded them and then later found out they are not as described. Or as you say, its difficult to tell the difference.

If you're not willing to return the goods.....it may be worthwhile asking for a reduction in price to reflect what they actually are instead of what you paid for.

One question though, was this a consumer purchase or was it business?

i didn't know the beads weren't as described until notified by the website - about 3 weeks after receiving them - it was a consumer purchase - does that make a difference?

Essentially consumers have more protection/remedies available.

As above, if you can't return them....you could always ask for a reduction in price
