High Scottish Power Electricity Bill

I have received a bill from Scottish power for £114.85 to cover 04/11/2011 to 22/12/2012
I have no previous experience with energy bills but it seems a little high to me. There are only two of us.
We do use the washer, dryer, over and dishwasher (all of which are electric) on a daily basis though which I'm sure bring up the bill. Would they however bring it up so much?
I'm aware I haven't been to frugle, and there's a chance I've used every bit of energy that I'm being billed for. I was just wondering your opinions though... Does this bill sound about right?
thanks
Gary

Welcome to the Forum.
Examine your bill, not for the ££s on it, but whether the opening and closing readings were actual (A) or estimated (E). Get a handle on your consumption by taking daily readings for a week.
And what about your heating?0 -
As above, post your actual kWh consumption billed-then proper advice can be given.
Do you use electricity for heating or hot water? These are the big ticket items. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hi garyscottadamson,
As the guys have said using this amount in a month and half is not uncommon, although it is worth checking if your bill is based on actual usage. If you want me to check this for you, you can drop me an e-mail to onlinecomplaints@scottishpower.com
You may also want to consider calling our independant energy efficency advice line on 0800 33 22 33, as if the bill is correct you may be able to make a few small changes that will make a noticable difference to you consumpiton.
Kind regards
