Sunmaster.co.uk

Has anyone ever used Sunmaster.co.uk for there holiday i have just been getting quotes on there for a weeks holiday late July 2012 and the prices are unrealisticly cheap for example ..

1 week all inclusive to club Maritim apartments in San Antonio bay Ibiza for 2 adults 1 child age 4 the whole price including hotel flights and transfers is £773 .

Now this being the most expensive time of year to travel and not one other company has quoted me less than £1260 for anywhere this must be dodgy.

This is the not only place that is coming up cheap it doesnt matter where you want to go they is deals for less than a grand .

any feedback on this company would be greatly appreciated as im tempted to go ahead and book

I suggest you search the reviews, they are not good. I would suggest you cannot get a holiday for £500 less than anyone else is offering. Sunmaster do not sell holidays, they sell flights and accommodation separately which is not the same

That is not that cheap its unbelievable for that time of year in Ibiza, August is the crippler. As for the apartments I would suggest you do LOTS of research on any hotel in Ibiza in playa den bossa and san antonio and san an bay. While there are a few family friendly hotels on the whole these places are littered with young loud people on booze and drugs coming in at all hours off their face and it isnt very nice for the kiddies to see. The island is in full swing for the clubbers so July will be very busy with the ravers before the 6 week holidays kick in. I would suggest a more upmarket place like st elalulia or cala longa or portinax at the north of the island. There is lots of beautiful places to go, and you can find the family friendly places in san an if you want the hussle bussle but it depends what you want in a holiday. There is the sun set strip in san antonio which is 20ish minutes walk from the bay, the bay is normally much quieter then san an but there places that suit all. Have a look on ibizaspotlight.com its a great sight for information.
Edited to say I have been a few times as I am one of the ravers :D I am going in june with the lads in a villa in june and taking the family in september but as the mrs has seen santonio and the bay she refuses to stay there again so we are going to choose somewhere more quiet and suited to a family hol so they dont see the face chewers and drunks screaming at 6am when they think they have lost their keys!
  • just had a quick look at teletext holidays and I can get a week in late july for 3 for £690 all in self catering in cala llonga so make sure you shop around. Lowcost holidays arent bad either and one I found on here called lolly is quite cheap to plenty of good prices if you book early enough :)

If your prepared to risk booking with someone who puts the bits together, so if anything goes wrong you could be stuck with flights without hotel or vice versa why don't you cut out the middle man and DIY with the info they've given you, would have thought that would be even cheaper. If you don't fancy DIY have you checked they're protected by atol and abta.

I used sumaster in 2009 when we went to eygpt in the summer holidays we got a really good price online then when we phoned to book the price we saw wasnt the price wepaid we had baggage on top and also the room we picked online "wasnt availble" so again the price went up. Saying that it was stll cheaper then we found anywhere else so we booked and had a great holiday and no problems.

Like others have said though make sure your aware its not a package ur buying flight and hotel separately. Still we werent put off and have booked this years holiday with on the beach which do the same.
  • i have used sunmaster before, the prices you see online do not include baggage.. so you need to add another £50 max per bag that you are planning to take! i still found them good value even with that added on :)

Unless you are booking with Thomson or Thomas Cook, I hate to break this to everyone but most companies will 'package' the holiday together under an ATOL Licence. Thomson, Thomas Cook, etc...also package the holidays in their own right, and then they sell it to the client as a package holiday, easy peasey. However, if you are making the package yourself and anything happens (ash cloud, strike, etc) you will not be protected.
    Happy :)
  • i guess thats the chance you take to get a cheaper holiday...
