Re-claiming PPI against loan

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me/us. My husband and I took out a loan about 6 1/2 years ago now, we don't know if there is PPI on this but alot of people seem to think that there is?? Anyway the name of who we initially took the loan with has changed the company or its name 4 or 5 times now and has also issued us with a new account number!!.

This loan is due to finish next month, can we still claim? and is this right that we have been passed from company to company since our loan started?.

How would a lot of people know what you have with your loan? Its not in the public domain. Its not the sort of thing people talk about either.

You mean complain. Claim is something you do on insurance if you suffer an event that is covered by the policy.

What would your complaint be?

You havent been passed from company to company. You are probably still with your original company. However, that company has been bought by another company, and then another and so on. The terms dont change. Just the parent company.

Thanks guys - with reference to the above. I know people don't talk about their loans , but like alot of people on here, we have been plagued by a lot of companies that are saying that we have PPI on our loan and also our mortgage and that we could get this back through them - but wanted to use this site if we are entitled to getting money back from both and wanted to know how to do this.

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Your data is not in the public domain. The companies saying this are encouraging you to put complaints in as the sales rep is paid for each referral. Plus, in some cases they will get lucky.

It isnt about entitlement. It is about whether you were mis-sold or not. If you were mis-sold the you can complain about that. If you were not, then you have nothing to complain about.
