What are the requirements for receiving income related ESA?

    If you get DLA you get extra too.

    you only get extra if you get mid/high rate care DLA. the extra amount inst a higher rate of ESA but additional premiums.

    ESA is already paid at a higher rate than JSA to reflect disability/ilness.

    I have just been awarded the" Severe disability premium", which I didn't know I was entitled to. It has been been backdated till May 2009 when I first claimed. Lots of people may be entitled to this and don't know it.
