Wedding day timings

I agree 100%. And your meal is VERY cheap... a little room in the budget for extra food to make your wedding last longer will be money well spent!

I agree,
I guess they are just trying to cut costs, because we don't have that much money as it is! Which is why I picked a date 2 years ahead but beginning to think I should have picked 5 years lol.
I've been married before, and it was a quick last minute disaster - kinda like the marriage really! It was registry office, and then went to a pub for a meal after. I didn't feel like a bride, and it wasn't an enjoyable day - I was rushed and we also moved house that night.....
I guess that's why this time I'm saying actually I would like my wedding to last all day, and I don't just want to go to a pub for a buffet afterwards. I want bridesmaids this time ( been told to only have the 2 girls we have to cut costs ) but I would love my best friend to be one this time.
I think I need to have another chat with OH, I know I am marrying the right one this time and so I want it to be a very special day.
Sorry that was long.0 -
I have been married before too - a budget affait. It was beautiful, but not what I really wanted. This time I decided to forget about the budget (to a degree) and get what I wanted. Obviously my OH is happy with this too! It hink my parents were surprised I have gone for a full wedding - I think they thought I would have a low key affair!!! I set off thinking I would have a low key affai and then my friends persuaded me to do the thinkgs I want. I am soooo pleased I listened.
If you want more than one bridesmaid there are lots of things you can do - ask them to wear their own dresses and then buy matching accessories. give them matching bags/shawls/jewellry as gifts...
If you want advice on gettnig things on budget there are lots of people on here with lots of brilliant cost cutting and saving advice.
