Hi all we are looking at remarketing our house for rental and are looking for ideas on where to post an ad up.
so far its up on the letting agent site and rightmove site too.
Is there anywhere else to advertise it so it gets a wider audience ??
Also can you give me a Review on the ad as it is on right move
is there anything we can do to make it look more attractive to prospective tennants.
thanks very much
Steve

Looks very well presented, clean and tidy, perfect for a family.
Does the agent your marketing through also advertise on the other larger portals out there as well, ie Findaproperty, zoopla etc. If not it may make no difference as sometimes the portals can be a geographical thing so some agents won't use them, but it will certainly help to get it out to a wider audience.
Does your agent also advertise in their local paper?0 -
Provided that I want to rent in that area, it looks good to me. Decent decor, well maintained and similar price to the competition.
Why do you ask the question? Has it been vacant for a while? Is this your previous home that you are renting out?
For me as a prospective tenant it is all about price. I'd use Rightmove and gumtree, view every 3 bed available in the area and see which I could get for the least money.0 -
Hi thanks for the replies.
We currently have tennats in the house but they have been issued s21 and will be leaving (hopefully) 11th feb as they have been a nightmare (late rent, verbally abusing neighbours, smoking in the house etc)
I just wanted to advetise it more so we can attract the correct sort of tenant this time.
The current tenants are a young couple who gave us all the speil that they wanted somewhere to rent for a long time and with a view to buying.
so far in 5 months the rent has been late twice (last months was due 10th dec, finally got it 4th jan !!) and has been paid by the guarantor twice(even guarantor is ignoring the letting agent now!)
stand up arguments in the street, throwing fag butts over the cars on the otherside of the garden fence!!
the list goes on.
We are hoping to get an older couple with older children in next time!
thanks

How will you know? That's the risk when running a business.0 -
I have recently used Gumtree and found it cheap (free) and attracted a lot of interest in my property.
I don't use agents and prefer to manage the property myself so it's ideal.0 -
I bet the ball against the wall does not sound too good..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I have also found Gumtree very good for letting houses, however you never know how people will be until they are in! Yours don't sound too good.
Just register and place a free ad on Gumtree-takes a few minutes.0 -
First line- A SUPERY PRESENTED THREE BEDROOM HOUSE
Please sort out the spelling mistake! My partner and I (both employed) would have liked the look of it when we were looking for rentals. We almost exclusively looked on Rightmove as we didn't really trust Gumtree.
You might be best off waiting until the tennants are out before agressively marketing however. Is there any guarantee that they will move? Do you really want to show prospective tennants round whilst the previous tennants are in there? Maybe just accept the void and go all guns ablazing when you have an empty property?0
