Erm, I'm from Kent, so I wanted something to do with that. You could say the Invicta Horse is a Kentish emblem, so I did my own take on that, with lots of artistic license on the part of the tattooist!DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

Hi Ian..........Is that like the one on the downs above Folkestone? I'm from Kent too:j
Just logged into my CCCS account and it was really nice to see my account balance standing at about 10.5K. The F&Fs have not been accepted as I hoped but been able to pay 3 debts off with my biggest creditor as 60% so that was something. I have to say Barclays have been excellent throughout the whole process of the DMP and F&Fs. They have also still kept me as a customer as I just transferred by current account to a basic one when I started out.
Still not decided what to do about continuing the DMP as will now be above min payments on all remaining accounts and still not sure if snowballing would be a better option now.
Will have a long think about it over the weekend and update my signature properly.
Take care all. SxFaced up to debts April 2009: £43099:eek:

Sorta related but not....
So I'm thinking a '38' on the wrist, then every time I get the debit card out to pay for something I'll see it and think, "naa, better not!".
What a good idea :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Debt Free 1st March 2017

We had a reply from Lloyds loan people accepting our DMP, but as yet we haven't heard anything from Lloyds Credit Card. Today a letter turned up regarding our credit card saying that they notice we haven't paid the payments they agreed with us, they quote the amount of £168.71 which will be our DMP payment as our minimum payment is way above that. We haven't even had a letter and it was only on the 5th that we sent them a letter with a token payment.
Our money goes to CCCS on the 1st of April, so I presume that Lloyds will get their money on the 25th. They said if they don;t get payment immediately they will stop the agreement. Should I just ignore it, is it usual tactics to make us contact them?0 -

I hate that these things happen on a Friday night when everywhere is closed...
Got my paperwork through after my cccs review earlier in the week. Turns out there's a mistake on there, with my mortgage payment. It's gone up by £13 a month (blimmin svr) but the person doing my review put an extra £113 a month on my budget.
So actually my payments will go up rather than down and that dfd may just get a bit closer after all.
Just can't wait now to ring them and it'll be Monday after work before I can.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Hi All,
doing own dmp but having following problems with Argos. Can anyone help
1. Notified Argos in December that we are seeking help re; debt. They did not feeze interest
2. Jan they agreed to reduce interest but they did not do this until March
3. Charged late payment fee for feb
4. Not replying to my letters.
5. Reduced interest is not low enough as paying £20 per month but interest is £14.
6. Home Retail Group have not subscribed to the Lending Code.
Where do I go from here???0 -
Hi All,
I've been on a DMP with the CCCS for the last two months. As in a previous post I mentioned two of my creditors (HBOS and Bank of Scotland) won't freeze the interest.
I've moved my current account and the bank I have moved it to could potentially offer me a credit card which includes 20month 0% on transfer balances. I was thinking that if I was to shift the debt from at least one of these creditors (HBOS or BOS) I would save about £700 per year on interest. The only problem is the CCCS said they would not support me in this as they see it as requesting more credit. Its incredibly frustrating as the Debt was built up by my wife and I have always been incredibly careful with money. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I guess I just have to keep harrassing the two creditors and keep asking them to stop the interest.
On a side issue, I think this is an excellent forum and is very comforting to know I'm not on my own. Thanks everyone to all of you.
Cheers

Yes I can see that this would be a right royal pain in the a**e. All that lovely interest free credit just waiting to be snapped up
It would seem obvious to most of us here that this option would save you money in the long run but I'm not sure how it would work because wouldn't you have to include the new card into the DMP? Isn't the mantra that all creditors have to be treated equally so you wouldn't be able to pay this separately from everyone else. Then you also have the problem of offsetting because they will just take the money from your new bank account to pay off the debt, which kinda defeats the purpose of the new bank account.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421
