Have you tried to see if there is a food bank local to you?

Semi seriously, I lost 2 stone when I joined the DMP, it's great! Not through starving I might add, but learning to cook from scratch. Rice, lentils etc, all wonderful things. This may help if you are struggling.

There's also lots of tips on this very forum. Will post links in a mo...

Embarrassed cough: I can't find my number - perhaps I never asked to join - but I thought I had - Please may I join?

Remember all that if a creditor keeps on ringing you then it is harassment. One man took a creditor to court last year for keep on ringing and not only got his amount owing wiped but a sizeable chunk of money awarded to him.

You don't need a number to join, it just helps some people to 'belong'. :) Send me a PM and I will add you to the member list.

Have you got anything in the house. It's amazing with the right planning what £5-10 can do. Could a friends or family member loan you some?

Have you called citizens advice to ask for help to get you over next couple of weeks?

I have found a bag of dried pasta so im going to divide it up and let it last as long as possible. Have also had a look and there is a food back not to far but will have to get the train there so will cost £2.80 to get there but I can hunt the sofa and see what I find failing that ill just have to walk it about an hour each way and be done with it might be a bit harder.
Might drop in on my nan around dinner time she is the lovely irish type who feeds whoever comes through the door.

I have my second call with payplan on Monday. Does anyone know how long it will take from then on for them to speak to creditors? xx

  • Sorry to hear how tough it is. Could your nan lend you some tins of something do you think? Or maybe give you some dinner to take home? I'm sure she would love to help if she could.
