claimed ppi lioyds ..not got money yet

Hi everyone..we put in a claim for ppi against Lioyds and was sent a letter on 28 november 2011 saying we have got some money coming to us and we have given you intrest untill december 26...Now jan 11 and still no money..we did phone them and to be truthful they were abit off with us and wouldnt tell us when we would be geting our cash back...Is there anything we can do Thanks for any replies...John

    Lloyds are known to be behind in getting the money out. There is little that can be done about it.

    You could refer your complaint to the FOS but that could add further delay as Lloyds will then stop the payment from going out (losing its place in the queue) and wait until the FOS process has been dealt with.

  • I was lucky to get some of the money back from Lloyds but only around 40% of the total amount, I only discovered this by looking at my bank statement. Did contact them and they said that due to the huge amount of claims they were "as a gesture" giving some money now and the rest later. Had a minor go at them over this and to be fair they did apologise...having said that spoke to the FOS and they said it would only delay things if I complained about Lloyds. Apparently it will take up to three months for the rest of the money to come through...
