toby breakfast

hello there.

planning in staying at a travelodge but has no restaurant.

recently seen an offer at toby carvery nearby for breakfast. sadly no ink to print out vouchers but have to pay full price oh well.

i have read a review though saying that it isnt all can eat as they give you bacon and sausage. is this case or not as if so may not be worthwhile?

cheers

Hope this isn't too late but if you show the voucher on your phone they will honour it.
Yes you get bacon and sausage given to you (or atleast you used to it may change) but you help yourself to everything else, if you have a two for one it is a very good deal.

you can help yourself at our nearest toby it is a nice breakfast however we have recently been to a brewers fayre restaurant and the brekky was superb cereals/toast/croissants/crumpets/fresh fruit/yogs/full english and hot drinks/juices all included for £7.99 and there is a voucher for bogof and 2 kids up to 16 eat free. so all 4 of us scoffed till we were bloated the other day all for the paltry sum of £7.99 n it was bloomin loverly. burpp :o:D
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p

I also recommend the premier inn breakfast (at the brewers fayre pubs next door - or beefeater grill - or taybarns etc theyre all part of the same chain).

Its gone up to £8.25 now, but still excellent value - unlimited bacon sausaage eggs(fried poached scrambled boiled omlette) hash brown toast cereals porridge fruit croissonts muffins, juices COSTA COFFEE yum yum yum

By comparison the crown carvery/toby breakfast is cheaper £3.29 but not only does it have restricted bacon & sausage, but you also have to pay extra if you want any toast coffee cereals or porridge. Not that amazing when you add it all up!

Premier Inn also offer a lighter breakfast £5.25, still unlimited but without the bacon sausage egg section of the menu.

It looks a good deal and I guess it is, but you have to buy any drinks inc' coffee and tea at £1.95. So it makes a regular breakfast a bit more.
O.K. so after that you can go back and fill up with food and drink as often as you like, but you can only eat and drink so much!

£8 for a breakfast is NEVER good value.

Try BHS, or even an IKEA where you can get breakfast for 99p.

    Cunfaro.
Well not £8 it's £5.95 (with coffee). The nearest Toby is nearer than any IKEA or BHS to me.
I may try it this morning and let you know how good/bad it was

I'm not a very big eater, so I coulnt possibly justify paying £8.25 for a breakfast.

    Good value -dont think so.

At our local we get a home cooked 3 course Sunday lunch for that.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
