vixarooni, where did you see the GHDs with the free hairdryer though (as in the first post) ? Ta.
  • Nonsense, they are all very similar, but the newest GHD's (mk4) are so much better than any others. :)

hmm my gdh have just started making a very strange burning smell! back to the shop with those! now...I have to find a budget pair that will do the job whilst no doubt the company takes AGES to test/fix/repair/replace them.

I can't find the digital babybliss in argos - can you let me know the model number please so I can see if they are elsewhere?

My sister has had about 4 ghds in the last year she bought them from the hairdressers so they gave her a brand new pair straight away and they send them off but i bought some straigtners the same time and about £30 in a sale and they are just as good but ive got fine hair my sisters is thick and she said her ghds are better for her hair than the ones i have(she had the same before buying ghds)

    For info.

The ceramic part of GHDs is actually 'behind' the pads that touch your hair.
The pads are enamel painted metal (aluminium I think). The ceramic part is the bit that does the heating up - and looks like a piece of pottery.

When I sent some broken GHDs for repair they sent a brand new replacement within 2 weeks (may have been 1 week) but it cost £44 as they were out of guarantee.

I've still not found where GHDs were being sold with a free hairdryer as in the very first post. Did anyone find this out ?
