Sherbetpops is correct, i meant the amazon ones were slightly cheaper than the argos ones!
I believe these straighteners also have a 5 year warranty with them, which is even better!Lost lbs =

I just bought some tresseme ones from boots out my points. they were £19.99 as they are half price at the moment. They go up to 200 degrees and are much better than my remingtons i had previously0

I just bought some digital Babyliss ones for £16.99 - reduced from £49.99 in Argos (catalogue no: 441/5622). They're solid ceramic and reach 200C. They're really good. I love the holster that comes with it too.
I can't imagine spending over £100 on a pair. I had a pair of Babyliss ones before, and although they were okay, these are loads better.

My only comment is that I bought the wide GHDs in about 2002/3 (before everyone wanted them and the price went up!) and they are still going strong.
I previously had cheaper sets but spent 3/4hr doing my hair (I have a natural Hasselhoff wave!). At that time, GHDs were much better than anything else available, apart from Saks (sp?) which I actually set out to get but they weren't available. Don't think that holds true now though, in 02/03 ceramics were only just coming out. Now the cheaper brands with high temps should be just as good.
I must say though, my GHDs were the best £85 I've ever spent!0 -
I had my hair done yesterday. The girl used some GHD's on my hair. It felt like really cheap one that ripped your hair at the ends. I too had been thinking about getting some, but I will stick to what I have.0
