to add. my friend also found out that the brother that supposed to have died at one from her adopted parents, of whom she thought was her birth Mum. she found out he is still alive and was their real son but apparently he was taken away from them. if that the case, then how an earth did they manage to adopt my friend if a previous child their birth child was taken away from them.

I told you, its a complete mess, maybe someone on here can figure all this out.

I just think the words like Scandle comes to mind and false papers maybe, dunno.

Whatever the complications of the relationships, it still remains a fact that she doesn't need to do anything for them unless she chooses to do so.

Being NOK doesn't come with any legal responsibilities - rights to inherit an intestate estate but no responsibilities.
