Using Old(but still unused) 1st Class Stamps

I have a sheet of 1st Class stamps in my cupboard that I'm working through that have I'd had for over a year, they were a freebie.0

I wish that postage stamps were legal tender because if they were, I would convert all my savings into stamps and then pay them into a bank account and would immediately make a 7% profit.
Royal mail sell stamps for retailers to resell and they are sold at a discount on the face value. This discount is between 3% and 7% depending on the quantity purchased, and if stamps really were legal tender, this would be the equivilent of a shop selling a £5 for ££4.650
