£125 First Direct Account Opening Bonus

I currently bank with FD and need a joint account to pay cheques into, mainly. I assume I can't get the bonus again for opening a joint account, as I'm an existing customer, but would I have to pay *another* 1500/month into the joint account to keep it free, or would the fact that the cash goes into my current account be enough?0 -
Another positive post about First Direct. Moved over to them nearly a year ago and received 100 pounds easily and quickly without any chasing. When you need to talk to someone, they are on the other end of the phone and pick up scarily quickly (compared to the usual ringing of banks, companies etc)! I changed my name over when married this year, again quick to issue new card. Internet banking is easy and doesn't require all the faff of the card readers (grr). Very happy.0

Note:
"to qualify you need to transfer your banking using our Easyswitch service (transferring at least two Direct Debits and/or standing orders)"

This was not the case when I signed up to the £125 deal last year. At that time Easyswitch was only mandatory to claim £100 on leaving.0 -

So the £1500 thing only applies to current accounts, right?0 -
If you don't care about the incentive, you only have to put in £1 in savings account. You could also open a current account and put £1 in that.0

Hi all,
I've just joined FD (Yay!) and actually don't have any direct debits to transfer over from the Barclays account I wanted to close. However, I do have another account that it solely for direct debits.. So, how can I get around this? Change two of my DD's from my DD account to my Barclays account (this is the account details I gave to FD) and then transfer them to FD using easyswitch? How long do I need to have the DD's coming out of my FD account? I would ideally like to put them back into my DD account as soon as possible..
Gosh, I hope this makes sense..
Thanks

I applied online yesterday but haven't received any contact from them yet?
Did other people receive an email or anything to at least confirm that they had applied?
EDIT: Just received a text messaged - account will open in 10 days0 -
