Don't buy alpaca socks from this company

Before Xmas I bought 2 pairs of alpaca socks from this seller and paid by paypal

Socks arrived beautifully packaged and look good material and quality.
However one of the people didn't want the socks, as they are extremely thick and she said they'd not fit into her boots and she didn't want to wear them inside. So I tried to contact the seller by email - the only means listed on his website. No response to 3 emails, sent from 4 Jan onwards.
I want to return 1 of the pairs (unworn; new in their box) to the seller for a refund but it seems he's disappeared. There's no returns address or phone no on his website, just a few happy customer testimonials (ok I know, I know, but it was Xmas...).
I have raised a dispute with Paypal, but none of their Dispute options envisages a seller not responding. In fact, they seem to rely on a seller responding for their whole Resolution Centre. We will see if he does respond this time. What do I do if he just keeps up his silence please?
If you want alpaca thick socks, I suggest you look elsewhere.

When did you receive them, and when did you tell then you wanted to return them? They don't seem to have a displayed returns policy, so you only really have 7 working days from delivery to tell them you want to return them. (although there is a technicality which means it could be 30 working days)0 -

It's only the 10th Jan! Sure, one would expect a reply 6 days later but it's not unheard of for a company to get back to a customer a week later. Hell, even we have took this long before due to various internal issues that can crop up etc.
1 email or 3 emails doesn't make any difference, if they haven't dealt with one email then then they obviously haven't seen the others.
I would advise leaving it a couple more days, if there still isn't any reply then it starts to look like you may not get one so start any proceedings then. Someone else will be able to advise with Paypal but be patient. Sure its not ideal or 'normal' for a 6 day delay but it can happen.0 -
Paypal got a result. Refund issued immediately and an apologetic email.
I still wouldn't buy again from an internet seller who has no T&Cs, return policy or address. I broke my own rules this time.

Their internet site is illegal if they have not proper contact details ie they should be law have their name, address, telephone number on their web site and proper terms and conditions.
We trade online and conform to regulations, but I notice a lot of "fly by night" competitors setting up who don't conform to the law and its becoming more and more frequent.If you're not behind our soldiers.....please feel free to stand in front of them!0 -

There is no legal requirement for a business to provide a telephone number.
All they must legally show with regards to contact details is their trading name, their business address and an e-mail address that they can be contacted through.0 -

A business must provide an email address, or can they leave that off if they provide a tel number? Well, arrording to the regulations (The Electronic commerce regulations 2002), a contact e-mail address is a must for any business trading via the internet. There is no mention of a telephone being a replacement for e-mail.
