According to wikipedia, kessa and dsg are rival companies.

Comet are owned by DSG anyway. :wall:

oh dear - time for a change of career - retail isn't your strong point, is it?
  • Just wanted to echo the comments of the first commenter on the board,

needed a new washer dryer yesterday, comet was best bet, reserved online, went in store, offered my reservation number, lady just asker my name, confirmed item, asked for payment (said would i like extended cover, i said no. subject closed)

Guy wheels out machine straight into back of van, take care and off he went.

very helpful and efficent and didnt try to push me for extended warranty.

Not an employee at all by the way, oh and topcashback gave me £8.33 lol

    Sigh

Comet are at the moment owned by Kesa who will complete a sale for £2 (but Kesa have to put a £50 million dowry to the business and keep hold of the pensions) Comet are also being sued by Microsoft for selling fake Windows Discs.

Currys and PcWorld and Dixons (and Partmaster/KnowHow/Pixmania who also operate in the UK) are all the same group under the umbrella of Dixons Retail.

I know its good to praise people and all but whats been done that you wouldnt expect?!? I work in retail and every customer i serve get that level of service as bear minimum?! Are comet really bad at customer service that they need praising for simple things?! (never go in comet, it always seems over priced?!)

I would like to praise T M N Newsagents, i went in earlier this afternoon and purchased a lion bar, the lady behind the till smiled and welcomed my money and in return gave me my reciept, product and change! She even offerd me a carrier to place said product in! I was delighted with this encounter and would like praise them on their fantastic customer service skills!

OP could it not be a case of you being over excited in the delirium of buying a new tumble dryer, ive seen this happen before!?

Obviously my whit isnt as good as my customer service!

I think it's the expectation that is low - hence delivering a 'normal' amount of service is indeed something to shout about!
