Our phone has gone bust so we're in need of a new one, but as we've returned a few due to them not being what we want, can any of you recommend based on the following...
* LOUD ringer. No good not hearing a call coming in
* Loud speaker. I don't mean on speakerphone so everyone can hear, i mean when you're having a private conversation. Many a time with various phones i have the volume on MAX & it's not very loud at all
* Must be bigger than a memory card & smaller than a breeze block. In short, it must fit nice in the hand - i don't like silly small phones, but i don't want to have to go to the gym to lift the phone.
And that's it basically.

All your requirements are subjective, what is loud for someone may not be loud enough for you! As a rule of thumb, the more you pay the better to look/feel and facilities. I've eventually ended up using Panasonic as they are proved to be reliable and have a good feature set - but whether they meet your requirement's is anyone's guess!
