Just in case I am about to do something foolish....

Options
I have just received an Egg card, with a £10K credit limit, and 9 months of 0% interest, including balance transfers.

Should I quickly open some other credit cards, and carry out BTs to put my egg card in credit first, then move the whole lot to my bank, including the credit from Egg - or will I be able to to transfer the current Egg credit limit to my bank account now, and transfer balances to my Egg card from other cards later, and then transfer these to my bank?

You can do as many BTs as you want from your Egg card without fees so no rush to get others cards. BT your Egg balance now.

Thanks for that, Reaper. That's what I was hoping the answer would be. It's just hard to realize how relatively easy much of this might be. I'm always thinking that there are traps I could fall into, even on the basics - like possibly blowing the chance of BTs from other cards later, by going too early on the Egg BT.

Not an unhealthy attitude, I suppose. Onward and upward....

nikkig (and other readers) - sorry if I caused a hiatus - I must have been thinking of something else entirely when I wrote the original post - I haven't got any preferential treatment (unfortunately) - my 0% period expires 1st September too.
