House buying and selling costs

Anything to add?
deposit - whatever that may be
mortgage fees - ditto
solicitor fees for buying and selling - about 1500 total for selling a house worth 110k and buying one for 250k?
stamp duty - 2500
survey - 400?
Van hire to move small amount of belongings - 200
Is there anything else to take into account when budgeting?

    Hi Spunko,

Its a finger in the air guestimate really. We were quoted £800 and £500 for removals on a 3bed semi in the midlands. I've re-read the OP's post and they are hiring a van -

    Best wishes
