Leaky washing Machine - Where To Look?

White_Iris
Our machine has started to leak from the bottom. We've pulled it out and it's definately not coming from the washing powder drawer, door seals, water inlet or waste water pipe. We thought it may be coming from the filter but this seems to be in place. Any ideas where we should be looking and what we should be looking for?
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Have you removed the filter and cleaned it?
It's a Hoover OPH614 6kg machine.
I removed and cleaned the filter last week and initially we assumed that I hadn't replaced it correctly and it was allowing the water to leak out. We doubled checked it and it appeared to be in correctly but it's still leaking - will triple check later once DH is home and we've moved some furniture around, so we can get a proper look at the bottom of the machine.0 -
The water starts coming out as soon as the machine begins to fill up, so I don't think it's a blocked drain or anything causing water to back up in the machine when it's draining.
The machine is just over 2 years old.0 -
have you checked the pump and its pipe connections?Get some gorm.0

Have you opened the washing machine up yet?
Check the pipes from the water inlet valves and jubilee/spring clips around any rubber hoses. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
Thank you all for the ideas - we haven't opened it up yet (waiting for DH to get from work) but we will try all of your suggestions once we do.0

Mine was leaking and couldn't figure out where from. I replaced the washer in the pipe that goes into the cold water and it solved the problem. No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Thank you for the posts everyone - it appears it was the filter. We checked it thoroughly and couldn't find any other potential leak sites and after removing and refitting the filter for the third time the leak has now stopped.0
