Neg feedback and non paying bidders

A buyer who never responded to a non paying dispute left a neg which I contacted Live Support and they had removed quite swiftly.
Apparently it was my fault he never paid, I didn't answer every email he sent saying he would pay next Thursday, next Friday, when his dog gets home, etc.

At least the dog wasn't the one who bid!
I've got an American being difficult at the moment, can't work out what sterling funds is and why I am not using dollars- can't work out why I am wanting him to pay airmail prices when he is in America and therefore *not* overseas, and has just apparently had his paypal account blocked so can't pay anyway. This is a transaction on the UK site and an NPB has been open now for 2 days already.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I did point out that even if I had missed an email this wouldn't have any effect on his ability to pay, just click the pay button.
It had started that he had money problems and would pay by a certain day, which although a week late I was fine with, not really sure what he thought I'd do after that, it's tough going enough at the moment so having boxes lying around waiting 3 weeks for payment is no help.
I'm hoping the recent spike in non payers is a Christmas/New Year blip and not a growing trend..0 -

I've had a rash of non-payers recently too. The most recent one said their PP account was limited - no problem I said, send me a cheque. "I don't have a chequebook" came the predictable reply. Never mind, here's my bank details so you can pay by bank transfer....silence. LOL.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
I've had a few non payers over Christmas, but strangely enough all of them have had excellent high feedback. I've even had a non payer with over 1000 feedback as a buyer- so why pay for some things and not mine?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. RFW shame on you my dog really was sick the PC monitor fell on him as i browsed your item and the computer must have bid for me.
I dont know what happened i was worried about my monitor dog i mean. I couldnt see the screen and did not know i had bought
the item.
I am just waiting for a big win on the lottery and i will pay instantly, Vet fees must come 1st though, Well after i have bought a new monitor
and bought some socks.
The dog used to keep my feet warm and chew my toenails which are now overgrown.

Just had a message from this guy, apparently he won't be buying from me again and that's my loss, it would probably be more of a loss if he did buy from me again..0
