Canon Pixma MP 495 driving me mad ! Help please

We use our Canon Pixma MP 495 printer by wireless but someone switched off the printer at the wall and the wireless link has been lost. I am so mad about this as it happened once before and took me ages to reinstate it using USB cable, Reloading the set up CD, Pressing buttons 15 times and pressing buttons on the router box. Have tried to read through the online help info from Canon to see if there is an easy way to reinstate it without all the longwinded episode again but nothing seems easy. Does anyone have any ideas for me please? Many thanks in advance.

When I had a similar problem I was able to get it working again by rebooting my router.0
