  • Not a problem, my reply was slightly sarcastic I'll admit but apologies if it came across a little bit off. :)

    That's the info we need - as soon as you mentioned bolts I immediately thought VAG (as they secure a lot of driveshafts this way). If they've come out over this period of time, I'd be tempted to take it further - it's not a common fault for the bolts to just come out so it must have been improper installation by Kwik Fit.

    Proving it is another thing though - but I think if you pushed it far enough they'd see sense and repair it for you. I can in no way see how they would not be responsible.

    No worries on the sarcasm it made me smile under the current circumstances,
    As for pushing it i have sent a letter that consumer direct have given me as a template and asked me to fill in (recorded delivery) stating the supply of goods and services act 1982 so we will see but i think they may still kick this all the way to court due to the cost to repair the gearbox that has been caused by the driveshaft falling out :(

    Still thanks again for the input its great to get some impartial advice from people
