Connection problems after installing XP's SP3

I have an Esystem 3089 UK notebook
I was already having a problem with the wireless adapter because the wireless utility wasnt working as it should and there was no option to use the Windows utility instead. I tried reinstalling drivers but to no avail
I was able to connect with LAN so I used IE to update windows to SP3 hoping that might help.
Now I get an error message on start up "WZCSLDR2.exe Entry Point Not Found"
Now IE8 wont connect to the interner either wired or wirelessly
Strangely enough internet works ok through Google Chrome using LAN but not IE8
That wouldn't be a problem except I need IE for Windows updates and its also effecting Outlook express
The LAN is Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast NIC
and the Wireless adapter is a RAlink RT7x 802.11g mini Card Wireless Adapter
Will be grateful for any advice.
Thanks

I have since found a driver for the wireless adapter and its now working as before but without LAN cable connected.
I still cant get IE or Outlook Express to work though. Only Google Chrome so I'm still stuckIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -

Well it solved part of the problem but not all
My wireless adapter is now working as it should. It's connecting at 54mbs but I'm still getting "WZCSLDR2.exe Entry Point Not Found" on start up and still only get internet through Chrome. Not IE8 or Outlook Express
Still no ethernet connection either
I also tried system restore but that fails no matter what date(restore point) that I enterIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
You could try posts 5 and 8, post 5 for the download and post 8 to stop the entries running

Or here, though they can take an while to reply

seems this dll is related to wireless. dunno if running ccleaner on your regeistry will help, but worth a try.
also perhaps worth trying "sfc /scannow" from the command prompt. no promises thoughFriendly greeting!0 -
Try LSP FIX
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
and if that doesnt find errors try a network reset
(Guessing a litle for XP here)
Goto START and RUN and type CMD and run CMD.exe then type ( or Copy and paste) :
netsh winsock reset
Reboot the system
if still no luck open CMD again and type:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
and if still no good my last ditch attempt, using CMD register the windows update dlls
regsvr32 /s wuapi.dll
regsvr32 /s wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 /s wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 /s wucltui.dll
regsvr32 /s wups2.dll
regsvr32 /s wups.dll
regsvr32 /s wuweb.dll:idea:0 -
Thanks to all who tried to help
I'm not one to give in easily but I've run out of time for it. I'm about to embark on a trip for just over a week
When I get back I'll probably do a format and a complete re-install of Windows but only up to SP2 (Luckily I still have the esystem driver disc).
Then I'll probably sell it
I've never had much love for esystem machines anyway. Unlike good manufacturers they dont have a website you can go to and download what you needIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0
