Idea of payout please ?

I have an rbs loan of £18400 with a ppi amount of £6600 (£25000 total loan) taken out with rbs over 7 years 10.9% APR, as i had no original paperwork i requested it and just recieved a printout of the ppi amount. How much should i be looking at , looking at the amount now i was disgusted to find that the ppi was not necessary as i had been led to believe !!

  • You will have paid £2863.55 in interest on the PPI over the 7 year term. This is assuming that you didn't cancel/refinance/settle early and receive a rebate etc.

    Total paid £9463.55

You will also receive 8% simple interest per annum on that figure from loan start date to present day.

Ok , thanks for that , sorry for the late reply , filled in the fos questionaire and sent about 4 weeks ago , my wife (it was a joint loan) sent off a sar for all info on the loan and all she recieved was info on a loan i had personally when i was younger ( is this a breach of data protection seeing as we weren't even together at the time ?) anyway unfortunately it is our word against theirs as when we went in to get the loan the rbs salesperson told us the loan would only be approved if we took out ppi , what are our chances :(
