I have been offered a Halstead Ace High Boiler at a good price, but are they reliable?

The reason you are offered it at a good price is that it is non condensing and therefore not much good to anyone.IMO not much good anyway.
You are required to have condensing fitted (except in certain circumstances).
Save your money and get a Worcester, Vaillant, for example.

How much is it being offered at?
If its not a condensing combi it might not be worth your while.
Sure the governement are trying to make all new installations condensing combis...
I have a Glowworm with is a mid range priced combi - very good it is too.0 -
