Selling my own house?

Hello there
I'm looking to sell my house, and know a couple of people who may be interested in buying it. This is obviously financially advantageous, as it cuts out estate agent fees!
Is it as simple as, once I have an acceptable offer, putting it in the hands of my solicitor? Or are there a number of other steps I need to go through? I own the house outright, so have no outstanding mortgage to deal with, and have easy access to the deeds of the property.
Any advice gratefully received...

Yes it is as simple as that! accept an offer see your solicitor with the details and then wait, or chase up the purchaser.

Yes and no..
You still need an EPC.
And of course you are dependant on the offers you get being the best price.
True - you will save several £K on agency fees, but if an agent can market widely and attract more buyers, he may (note may) get you a better price which outweighs your savings.
But in simple terms, yes, once you have found a buyer and agreed a price, it makes no difference whether this was via an agent, a guy down the pub, or you're selling to your auntie.
Just swop solicitors details.
(assuming you are using a solicitor that is. If ou have no mortgage, you could cut them out too!)0 -
Plus an EPC is only £40 ish on line! (not £140 ish charged by the agent)0
