Bought a Faulty TV from Cash generator

I bought a second hand 37 inch Tv from cash generator online 5 days ago and they specifically stated on the product description that it is in "good condition".Once the TV arrived today, found that its faulty.the screen is not working at all.I have read the refunds policy on their site and they say that i can:
1.cancel the contract within 7 days and i will be entitled to a full refund plus postage.
or
2.After 7 days i am entitled to a refund only if the product is damaged and after they have inspected and confirmed indeed it is faulty.
Now i am not clear on which of the two options above i should chose, bearing in mind i need my refund as quick as possible.option 1 seems to be quicker since i will only be "cancelling" a contract and not complaining of a faulty item.In Short,i don't want them to put me through the hassle of Option 2,if i can go with option 1 which is quicker.
- Has anyone had any experience with returning faulty items with cash generator?
- how long does it take to be refunded your money?and how long do they give you to send the item back?
- The TV is pretty heavy, can i ask them to come and collect it themselves?

You should report the TV as faulty to them.
If you go for option 1 (i.e. returning under DSR as if you had changed your mind), you would be responsible for paying to return. In fact, their T&Cs say...
"In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full, including the cost of sending the item to you unless the delivery charge also included other Products which have not been cancelled. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. If you returned the product because it was defective and subject to us confirming this, we will also refund the cost of you returning the Product to us by normal post."
So return it as faulty.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Wow, thank you soo much! the Devil , sure is in the details.I would have lost about 40£ if i had gone for option 1.0 -
Spent 2 hours yesterday repackaging the faulty tv yesterday. Its a bulky 37 inch tv with a stand.cash generator said they would collect it today but they would not refund me for any extra packaging i used! I had to buy extra bubble wrap and cartons which cost me 15£,since i had thrown out the ones which came with the TV.0

I don't see why they should expect you to pay for packaging. They should cover all the cost of returning it - I'd have made them supply their own protection when they come to collectSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you.
