Washing Machine Cable Connector Help?

Hi there
Hope someone can advise. The previous owners of my house have installed the washing machine in such a way that I can access the rear of the machine, however cannot fully pull the machine out from under the worktop due to the plug socket being somewhere behind the sink unit
No problem whilst the washing machine is working, however it's displaying a small problem and I can't fix this unless I can fully pull the machine out from under the worktop.
I'd obviously rather do this without having to dismantle the worktop, sink, corner unit etc...
Seems to me I could (electricity switched off) cut the cable at the rear of the machine where I can access it, and use a cable connector which would allow me to then effectively "plug" the machine back in once repaired without dismantling the kitchen?
I can find such items online, however there seem to be different kinds available with different amp ratings eg 5 or 10 /number of pins etc.
Can anyone advise what I need to buy? I am comfortable enough with the cable cutting and wiring into the connector, I'd just like to be sure I don't use an inappropriate connector.
Many thanks in advance for any advice

you really should install another 13 amp socket box.
use something like this if you have to.
you may need a 13 amp version. check your WM power output.Get some gorm.0 -
Thank you very much indeed! Also for the advice about the socket box too, I'll look into that as well
