about how much....

would you say a claim would come to for the following please?
i borrowed 14500 over 3 years at 11% finance to but a vehicle.
the payments were 525 pounds a month so i estimate the ppi cost me about 50 pounds a month.
i took it out in dec2004 and made the final payment jan2008.

i have a claim for being missold currently away being looked at by the ombudsman after bos rejected it.
i was self employed when i took out the policy and there were no medical questions asked at the time. i never claimed during the life of the policy and all payments were met on time.

im just curious as to how much i could expect if it is upheld as there would be interest to go on and im anaware how to work it out?

    I could work it out for you @ £50 per month PPI but if you have an exact figure instead of an estimate it would obviously be more accurate ;)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

    Here it is @ £50 per month PPI over 3 years

    36 MONTHS @ £50 per month = £1,800.00
    8% standard interest = £ 219.78
    APR = £ 594.00

    TOTAL = £2,613.78

    Some banks pay back the APR on the PPI but lots don’t ;) Good luck

    You're welcome, just remember you may or may not get back the APR amount. I did with a BOS complaint so fingers crossed FOS uphold it for you ;)

    Happy New Year to you too amersall. I have looked at it a couple of times actually and it's a tad complicated for my limited experience and I would hate to give wrong advice on a complicated calculation :o I'll take another look but it is a bit beyond me. I'm Ok doing straight forward loan calculations. If I can advise with any confidence I will ;)
    Hope Niggly is Ok haven't heard from him for ages, he helped me out big time
