Sellers not giving full details

Bit if a rant really!
I am thinking of giving up buying on Ebay now. The last two items I brought have not been what I expected of them.
The sellers are not actually photographing the item and not putting accurate descriptions.
The first item was a pack of brand new re-usable nappies the photo the seller took was the new design with new packaging but the item I recieved were of the old design with the old packaging, I relooked at the item description and now where did it mention this, I therefore e-mailed the seller and when I got no response left a neutral which result in the seller leaving me a neutral and saying why didn't I contact them!! I believe if they had shown the correct photo they would have had less bids.
The second is a hip carrier for holding a baby which I have purchased from Australia, the photo was from a catalogue and showed the item to be black. When it arrives it is this disgusting green colour, that I wouldn't want to use and again no mention of this in the description. I am very unhappy this time and if it was from this country probably would have a go at returning it. I had brought it as I thought if I can't use it I would re-sell it but I wouldn't have the nerve to sell as I have been and therefore I believe I wouldn't get as much money.
I as a seller would not purposely misled others to buy my items, I don't think I would be able to sleep at night!
Anyone had any experiences of this, or any tips on what to do?

I know where you are coming from. As a seller I feel the more/correct info you leave the better in the long run. Less e-mails flying back and forward, happier customers = better feedback = better prices.
My only suggestion is to ask questions at least 6 hours in advance and see if you get a reply. No reply = no bid. But I do hate folk who expect a reply 5 mins before end of auction, I don't sit watching my auctions end and on this time scale it is unreasonable.0
