I've looked at the T&C's again and i mentions nothing about needing to transfer BACS credits over? It doesn't even say that you have to deposit any money into the account to get the £100?
I'm only relaying what the staff in the bank have said. If you think you can get away with it without depositing any money into the account then go for it :)

Does anyone know when applying should you be honest and state the amount you actually earn
You should always be honest on application forms, otherwise you end up on Hunter and then your existing banks get notified that you have committed possible application fraud, which they'll assume is to facilitate access to additional borrowing, and they could then close your accounts under anti-fraud regulations.

I dont care what the banks offer - Im sticking with First Direct. BEST bank I've been with in 30+ years. Santander could offer £1000 and I'd still not go back to them!

What you see as loyalty, companies see as inertia.

Nobody suggests to leave a bank with great customer service for one with ...les than great. But as it has been described here many times, you can have secondary, sacrificial accounts in order to switch and take advantage of these offers. :money:
You wanna hear about my new obsession?
I'm riding high upon a deep recession...

I've just been on Halifax website and it says "£100 for switching to reward current account", click on Find Out More, then click on Apply. It looks like the home page cycles round different product offers.
