Laptop screen broken after 2 weeks

    I did read somewhere that faults in LCD screen can also appear if the machine overheats (I think it was relating to Toshiba laptops). So if the vents are blocked i.e. using laptop on your duvet or soemthing similar then this restricts the amount of air flow.

    It's just a thought.

    With regards to replacing the screen i had to do this for my lappy. I sourced a new screen from ebay for £69 and was able to replace my Toshiba screen quite easliy. I found some tutorials on Youtube.

    I had an identical fault as you have described on my last Tosh machine when I shut the lid with a pen on it. My fault entirely.
