Does anyone know Telescopic Kitchen Hood

Hi all,

I have a problem that I have a chimmney with a recess gap of approx 800mm/80cm I now have a new ob of 700mm/70cm I have been looking everywhere to find a telescipic pull out or slide out hood which is 80cm or 70cm wide.

I am at my wits end as the only sizes I can see online are 60cm which is too small for the hob or 90cm which is too large for the space.

Does anyone know where i could find one of the above sizes or a manufactirer who makes them, I can't beleive I can't find this type hood in this size.

please could you guys help me with the challenge of finding one please

Kindest Regards Akosa

There isnt a 70 or 80cm telescopic hood on the market that I am aware of. If you have a 80cm cupboard, then a 60cm hood will suffice under the circumstances, provided-

    - Your run from the hood to outside wall is short and without obstructions, preferably straight through the back wall
    - Your extractor capacity is atleast 10 times the room volume
    - You take adequate measures to ensure that the gap between the hob and hood meets the manufacturers recommendations and possibly exceed them
    - Exposed chipboard has some form of protection against humidity and heat.

  • Who manufactured the hob? Have you made enquiries with them?
If a suitable hood exists they may know about it.
The only thing you should be paying interest on is a mortgage.

Otherwise Mr Banker - No, I think you'll find interest is something you pay to me....

    Hi

This Miele telescopic extractor is 700 mm wide.

As KM said though you really need to duct it directly to an outside wall, you can't go up the chimney, in case that was your intention.
