Bank owes me £800

Options
Ok so here it is, I managed to claim back most of my PPI, :D...However when I checked payments made to the loan.!!! I saw that the bank hadn't made a payment of £800 to my loan. I called and they said it would be paid off as the loan comes to end :/ hmmm ok I thought and left at that. Loan now closed and no payment made, also got fobbed off told it was being dealt with and when call back nothing had been done. I was instructed it would take 10 days for some slackers to sort it out and now I'm told it is being dealt with by the refund team..:cool:which is now 25 days ago. My gripe is they won't give me a time scale and said I should never of been given a time as to when it will be dealt with!!! I want to know if anyone out there know's whether or not that is unlawful and illegal to be deliberately be obstructive? (What is the maximum number of days the bank can hold onto my money before having to pay it to me:mad:)Also I would like to know whether or not I could claim interest on the money to which they should of paid off the loan. I mean if I put that money into a savings account it could be another £100 or so in my pocket!! or charge them £25 per day from when it was agreed..( Ok maybe going a little mad now, but) what can I do

Firstly. Good news about your repayment.
Secondly. Someone out here is thinking that the person you spoke to probably, genuinely didn't know just how long it would take (because it's a different department dealing with the issue) and was a bit scared to admit it so invented the 10 days. Is that being obstructive? Also, I think I would be a bit scared of you, I hope you didn't call them slackers during your conversation with them.

I would write to your bank and state your case, politely, and ask for a date the money will be going in. That way, you should have a reply to refer to should you incur any further delays.

Erm, sorry but I don't know how long it should be before you're paid:eek:
