Missing transactions on my Nationwide credit card

I probably shouldn't be complaining, but I'm worried about a number of transactions which seem to be missing from my Nationwide Credit Card. In early December I was upgraded to their Select card, and have been putting as much of my day-to-day spending on it as possible to earn maximum cashback :money:

However, it seems that about one in ten transactions aren't appearing on my card - my car insurance on 23rd December, the bar bill for a group of eight of us on New Year's eve , and a handful of transactions from Amazon.co.uk. The total amount is nearly £1,500 now.:eek:

What should I do about it - is there a maximum time for transactions to go through? I'm being careful to put the money aside, but I'm worried that I'll exceed my credit limit if the problem keeps on happening, and then they all appear at once!

Thanks,

Chris.

You firstly report the issues to Nationwide, so that if they do all come at once you have some ammunition for asking for a waiving of any overlimit fees and also any negative markers which may be placed with the CRAs.

Retailers, or more accurately their merchant acquirers, have up to 6 months to claim the funds you authorised. After this period they have a further 5 years 6 months to obtain monies by other means, including taking legal action where necessary/possible.

We made a large purchase on PayPal on about 31 December which is due to be debited from our Nationwide Select credit card but which isn't showing up on the recent transactions page yet, which is a bit strange. BUT when I look at the current balance / available credit information, it seems to have been taken into account there. Have you tried comparing your last statement with the recent transactions to see if your current balance information is correct?

HI All, I have contacted Nationwide regarding this and they say there is a computer glitch and some transactions from 31st Dec to 6th Jan are missing but will appear!

I was worried because I had paid some of my bill off and it had not appeared!!

Ah yes, the transactions are missing but the balance is correct except for the car insurance.

I'll wait and see if the transactions and the car insurance put in an appearance...

    Cheers!
