    Good morning fairyclicks,

I am sending you a virtual bunch of flowers as a BIG thank you and to put a smile on your face :D:D:D

I can't tell you how grateful I am that you started this thread. I have really been struggling since my darling Dad died of cancer two years ago. Anyway to cut a long story short, I am suffering from the worst bout of depression I have ever experienced and this forum is helping me to cope

I need to get back to my old self and just setting down 10 positives/targets has been such a boost for me.

So whatever all the lovely contributors to this thread wish to achieve today - good luck :T

Aw thanks so much for the virtual bunch of flowers :) it did put a smile on my face!!

I have been struggling with a bad bout too - been off work for about 2 years now with it so my sympathy and empathy is with you - so sorry to hear about your Dad - its really not easy to cope with losing a parent i imagine - i am still finding it hard to have lost both grandparents in the past few years so i can only imagine how it feels to lose a parent.

I am glad this thread is helping you - the positive steps challenge is something i sort of dreamt up while going through my first bout of depression when i was 18 - it helped me then and so i thought i would share it now i'm on here and needing to use it again myself :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day and i will share my positives later on when i have done some lol :)

  • Hi everyone. Sorry to hear about you Fairyclicks and TM6. I suffered from post natal depression 13 years ago for about 6 months and that was bad enough so can't begin to imagine how it must be for you both. My dad died 12 years ago this May, so I know exactly what you are going thru TM6. It isn't easy, but they say time is a healer and at least I can look at a photo of my dad now and think of all the good times, instead of crying and thinking what we have all lost with his passing - sending you both ((hugs)).

My positives for the day are:

    1) Changed bed (can't wait to get into my fresh laundered marshmallow bed - bliss!)
    2) Updated spreadsheets
    3) Finished online shopping. Even tho more than I wanted it to be (£120) but hoping this will last me the month, with only fresh top ups throughout the month
    4) Got meatballs out of freezer for tea tomorrow night
    5) Chased live mouse out of the house which cat dragged in - and didn't even stand on a chair:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    6) Caught up on some 'housewife' tv which has built up on planner
    7) Posted niece's birthday cards and sent a thank you card
    8) Had a lovely bath with candles

Think that's about it for today - hoping everyone has a good day tomorrow - and the biggest positive note of all is that it's FRIDAY!! Yay:T:T:T:T:T
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

Thanks for the hugs MunniMuncha and for making me laugh with your mouse story :D

I am having one of those days today where i don't know where to start.

I started to write a to do list in my dairy and then stopped cos i can get really hard on myself when i do to do lists and in my blog i said i was going to try and work on that - so strangely stopping writing it is a positive step :rotfl:

have done a few wee money earning things so far today:

    superpoints
swaggers - up to 52 so a bit to go on that but i have just claimed a voucher haha
    woohoo - 302 golds.

    am now going to:

    ring about appointment
sort out washing and take it downstairs to the washing machine
    do the dishes

will be back when i have those wee bits done :)

TM6 - is it my imagination or have you been putting off writing that letter to the council? last time when i did this challenge we had a weekend when we said we would do something we had been putting off - mind you i have so many things i have been putting off wouldn't know which one to do first LOL!

Hugs to all that needs one today, and well done on all the positive steps you have all managed so far this month :)

There are just some days that things seem to go against your plans aren't there?

i phoned about my appointment and the consultant answered the phone - of course she had no idea how to book me an appointment to see her so am waiting on the secretary ringing back :rotfl::rotfl:

I went to wash the dishes only to find my other half has broke the switch on the boiler :mad:

I did manage to sort out washing though and even managed to put a wash on and hung up so that was good :)

Managed another few earning things too:

swaggers now up to 94 - have 100 points in my sights for today now :)
    claimed £16.14 from surveyhead
    u rewards - now at $9.77
donkey - should be able to cash out tomorrow on there for my whole $1 LOL!
    checked free lottery

I'm sure there is more but can't think now! Dear me my head is like a banana sarnie today!! :rotfl::rotfl:
