Thanks for the lovely welcome Fairyclicks, I am sorry not to have replied sooner, I havent yet figured out how to set up a message when I get replies, or isnt that possible on here? I think because I am still at the start of my moneysaving 'journey' I probably just have more big things to say. Its when you are doing well you have less to say I'd imagine :) Good work on your ebaying!
If you go to the green bar at the top of this thread and click on thread tools, there is a menu option for subscribe to this thread, that will take you to another page and from there you can select on the drop down menu to receive instant email notifications of thread replies :D
It will be everyones replies but there are only a few regular posters so you won't get tonnes of emails.
And welcome from me too, your list sounds very positive, and you can write whatever you like. The idea is to write whatever you feel are positive steps for you. Sometimes I write to-do lists and sometimes I write positive steps I have already done :)
Today I have been at work all day so only a few things:
    1. Tidied up painting job on wall so it is ALL finished now
    2. Written invoice for one gym
    3. put some of my music for classes on my computer (and some Xmas stuff for work)
    4. Over the weekend did some SERIOUS decluttering and tidying/rearranging of the bedroom :T
    5. Made packed lunch for work so didn't spend any money today
I will be back tomorrow with some more bits and bobs to do, see you then
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

I feel very MIA ATM with this internet access issue but hopefully it will improve very soon - i now just need to get to my old house to get my router thingy and i **should** be able to get online a lot easier :D

I have been stepping away like a mad thing despite not being on here and as a result i hopefully will have my car back on the road next week :D - i won't know myself with both the internet and a car again hahahaha

today i have been focused on getting yet more forms completed and posted, doing lots of tidying and i even managed to get another 2 things onto ebay!! I would be delighted if i could manage 2 things on a day as it takes so long ATM.

Oh and i set myself a mini challenge of getting 10 scarves knitted this week and i am now on number 9 :D - i will have to start thinking of the next creative challenge i want to set myself now ;)

    Hi fairy and everyone

Hope it's okay to post my to-do list here- I've been really stressed over the last few months and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm determined to make 2013 a whole lot better :)

I really need to get into some good routines, so my list includes some things to do every day and the rest are to try to get through this week.

    Catch up with washing
    Catch up with ironing
Clear piles of paper from living room
    Catch up with surveys
Take a bag to the charity shop
Get an application form for PO Xmas club (next year will be different!)
    Enter some comps/freebies every day
Clear some emails/paper at work every day
Clear some emails/paper at home every day
Do one thing to reward/treat myself every day

Right, off to make a start.

    Positive steps every day:j

I think I need to start doing this again, as am getting more and more unorganised by the day!! And my Maternity Leave is nearly finished too, so I will be even more stretched in every direction, so I need to give myself a massive slap into action so it sets in that things have to change, and NOW!!
I am so rubbish at getting around to things - to the point where we haven't been with BT for almost a year, and every month I've been getting an online bill, and we were £17 odd in credit. All I had to do was phone them. And it took me until last week to do that. All of a 5 minute phone call, one which would get me some dosh back as well, yet it still took me almost a year to 'get around to it'. So many times dragging our heels has meant we've missed out on things by the time we get around to it, and I don't want it to take anything major happening to really make it set in that we need to get our !!!!!! in gear! (I say 'we' because my OH is just as bad now, so neither of us is there to push the other, but instead lazyness is breeding lazyness!)

My little list for today is

[STRIKE]1. Phone work and check everything still fine for when I go back - what time they are expecting me in etc.[/STRIKE]

    2. Clear the sofa - which has become my latest place to collect clutter

[STRIKE]3. Sort 3 Ebay listings. Have a couple with just vague titles from free Listing weekend when I was pushed for time, so just 'details to follow' as the description, so need to make use of them.
[/STRIKE] Did 3 yesterday, and 2 more this morning! Although do still need to add photos

    4. Find the batteries we bought to check something selling on Facebook still works!

    5. [STRIKE]Contact person about a different Facebook sale that turned up only to find I'd lost the bloody thing! (Have since found so going to offer to drop it round as she's not far away. Fingers crossed she still wants it, and that's another £25 in the pot towards Christmas :D Or if she doesn't another reason my disorganisation needs to be addressed! :( ) Sorted, she still wants it and just got to sort out a time for me to drop it to her today :D
    [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]6. Keep the half of the kitchen I properly cleaned yesterday clean ;) [/STRIKE] More or less ;)

    7. Clean a bit more of the kitchen - or not so much clean as put away (or throw away?) the collection of clutter that has accumulated all along the worktop. Rollover to today :o

    8. [STRIKE]Speak to neighbours about something they have put out in their garden to find out if it's rubbish, and if so see if they want me to put it on our local Facebook free site, as I've had quite a bit from people on there, but don't put enough back (as I tend to sell things instead of give them away :o) so would be good to give something away - no one will know it wasn't mine to start with [/STRIKE];) Done, and got it in and given it all a wipe over. It's actually really nice, and my 2 have been playing with it all yesterday afternoon and this morning!! But I have 2 boys, and you should have seen OHs face when he came in and they were playing with a very pink, very girly house! It's also quite big, so is still definitely being given away! But at least they've enjoyed it, and I've got some funny pictures to show them when they're older, and maybe pop on the wall at their 18ths ;)

[STRIKE]9. Scrub the baby's highchair as it's a bit sticky! [/STRIKE]Never ending job this one though, messy little pup!!

    10. Make list of all the Christmas presents we need to buy, and from who (i.e. from the kids as well) and fill in what we've already got. Not a lot yet :(Roll over to today!

    Right... here goes :)
Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £170
  • Aw welcome back moneynut :D hopefully we can help to motivate each other again - i have little spurts of activity (usually relating to when i have posted on here which is good, so i'm trying hard to pop in every day again despite the dongle issues!)

Well done on getting through lots on your list already AND for phoning BT eventually ;)

  • Not sure how i will get on today - feeling a bit blah :o think i'm just tired of waiting to hear from the grant people and from dla as well - why is it when they want info you get just a few days to respond but they get months to get back to you?:mad: anyway i'm trying not to depend on a positive outcome but its hard not to have my fingers crossed!

Think i will concentrate on my rollies from yesterday to see if it helps with motivation levels to get a few things done ;)

phoned doctors re hrt script and still no sign of it :(

got a couple of pressies sorted and paid - :) now just need to think about what to get mum and step dad - always hard to think of something for them!

need to write a list of things to collect from old house as now getting a lift back to get a few things :)
