Can get up to 50 point just by searching the web.
Does anyone know which searches qualify?
Would be great just to quickly do 100 searches every month (2 qualifying searches = 1 point) to get the full 50 every month for free.
Amazon, Ebay and Sainsburys seem to count but I've been trying others for 10 mins and my searches arent going up
Many Thanks
Sam

No idea what "qualifying search" really means, I type any old carp in and never had an unqualifying search! I normally do 3-4 searches a day spaced right out, though, every day until I reach the maximum. Just type a random word in and press enter, don't need to click through to a result.0

Don't smile too soon, the toolbar is powered by yahoo. They are sure to spot that you did 100 searches in 10 minutes and therefore they weren't true searches.
If they do, they won't pay Nectar and Nectar won't give you the points.
This is why points are not added until 28 days after the end of the month, to give yahoo a chance to verify they are genuine then pay Nectar.0 -
I find the toolbar a bit hit or miss... when your searching if the nectar logo appears next to the site then thats a good indication that its working... you then actually have to visit the site of course :-)
I think they had a 1 search = 1 point offer on a while back... i've been using it for a while now and its pretty easy to rack up the searches. You can login to the nectar site to see if your toolbar points are being added... but as someone mentioned... they can take a while to appear (like any of the eshop points!)0 -
I think you also get 100 points just for downloading the toolbar :-) i'm not sure if this is just a one off payment... or if you would get 100 points for every machine you installed the toolbar on... i'm guessing the first option!0

I think that's just the feature built into the toolbar that lets you know that you can collect Nectar points on a certain site. I don't think it's connected to earning search points. You can search for absolutely anything and don't actually need to click through to a site, as I said before. I'll just search for something at random throughout the day - a song lyric I just heard on the radio, or a word I just heard someone say on the telly!
I had a few problems when I first installed my toolbar about a year ago, there was some glitch where my search results weren't filtering through to Nectar, but I got it sorted out and now my points are always credited without me chasing them up, so the way I search seems to work fine. The key is just to spread your searches out so it looks natural. Or of course you could just use it as your default search so it IS natural... but I think Yahoo is rubbish and always use Google for proper searching!0 -
I agree the logo appearing next to sites that will give you points is a feature of the toolbar... but what I've noticed is that the logo doesnt allways appear next to sites i know are nectar sites... and searches dont count.
If you see the logo appearing while your searching then at least you know that the toolbar/searches should be working :-)0
